Build it

The thing nobody sells off the shelf.

A sensor and a $6 board. An app that does exactly one job. A daily brief that reads the news before you're up. If you can describe it at a kitchen table, I can probably build it — and you'll own it when I'm done.

Two kinds of build.

Wires and boards, or code and screens. Usually a little of both.

02

Wire it

Sensors, cameras and controls — installed, and talking to your phone.

  • Security cameras, no monthly fee
  • Gates & doors that tell you they're open
  • Greenhouse, coop & barn climate alerts
  • Well, tank & pump monitoring
  • Generator & power-out alerts
03

Build it

Software for one person or one business — the thing nobody sells off the shelf.

  • Custom apps that do exactly one job
  • Automations that run while you sleep
  • A daily brief that reads the news for you
  • Dashboards for the farm, the shop, the house
  • AI, where it actually helps

Things I'd build out here

Most of this is a $6 chip, a sensor, and an afternoon. Half of you are already halfway there.

Coop

Sunset roundup

The door closes itself at dusk. A beam counts who came in. One hen short, your phone says so while there's still light to look.

Door actuator · beam sensor · one small board
Fence

Electric fence alerts

Voltage drops — a limb, a short, a bull with opinions — and you get a text that says which run — usually before the herd notices.

Fence probe · one small board
Water

Stock tank watch

Float's low, or the water's an hour from ice — text. You hear about it before the cows do.

Float switch · temp probe · one small board
Greenhouse

The 2 a.m. frost call

Inside temp trending toward 34°F in the middle of the night? Your phone rings. Rings — not a notification you'll see at breakfast.

Temp & humidity sensor · one small board
Well

Pump that tattles

Pressure logged every minute. A pump that's cycling too often gets flagged before it burns out on a holiday weekend.

Pressure transducer · one small board
Hay

Hot bale alarm

A hot bale is a barn fire you haven't had yet. Probes in the stack, a text when one starts climbing.

Temp probes · one small board

Got a different one? Text me the idea — that's the fun part.

How I work

The other half of the shop is an AI I built myself.

It reads the manuals, drafts the code, watches the sensors overnight, and argues with me when I'm wrong. It's how one person covers printers, barns, and software — and if you want one working for your business, that's a thing I build.

Ask me about it on the call.
